I visited Chuam Beach before the official summer opening season, so it was not crowded. The atmosphere was very peaceful, and I really enjoyed walking around.
One of the most famous places here is Chotdaebawi Rock. There is also a nice walking course near the beach, so you can enjoy the ocean view while taking photos.
The beach had public restrooms, but the shower facilities were not open yet because it was before the summer season. The beach officially opens on July 8 (Wednesday), so shower facilities will probably be available during the official beach season.
One thing I found interesting was that there were many animals around the area. I saw cats and even geese nearby. If you visit with young children, they may enjoy watching the animals as well.
Around Chuam Beach, there are several small shops and restaurants. You can find Ediya Coffee, seafood restaurants, dried seafood stores, convenience stores, and simple food options.
Dinner at Chuam Seafood Restaurant
The ocean was very calm when I visited. There were almost no waves, and the water looked quite clean.
You can also enjoy fireworks at Chuam Beach. Convenience stores nearby sell fireworks, but I recommend buying them online before your trip because you may have more choices.
For dinner, I visited Chuam Seafood Restaurant. I sat on the second floor, and the ocean view was beautiful. There was a small plaza right in front of the restaurant, and there was even a busking performance, which made the evening atmosphere much better.
If you visit with children, they can play safely in the plaza while adults enjoy their meal.
The food was also clean and fresh. I especially liked the snow crab. When you order crab, they steam it after ordering, so it comes out soft and juicy.
I have been to some places where they served crab that was already steamed before, and it became dry. But this restaurant was different, and the crab tasted fresh.
Car Camping Near Chuam Beach
Chuam Beach is also a nice place for people who enjoy car camping. You can relax near the ocean and enjoy a peaceful beach atmosphere.
